Computer Software Classes

    Available for those who already have a GED or High School Diploma, our computer class assists students who are new to using a computer along with helping those who wish to improve on their understanding of how to use a computer. In this class, students are given tutorials on how to use the various Microsoft Office programs, such as Access, Excel, Power Point and Word. This fourteen week course is on Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Below is our school catalog.

     


    Computer Productivity Training Program – WIA Approved 

     

    Program Information

    The program covers the Microsoft Office Suite. Courses include:

    • Computer Concepts
    • Windows (XP, Vista, & 2007)
    • Internet Explorer
    • MS 2007:
      • Word
      • Excel
      • Access
      • PowerPoint

     

    Length of period of enrollment:    2 weeks - 14 weeks

    The Computer Training program has 7 courses spread over 14 weeks.

    Classes are held 3 hours per day, Thursday and Friday, Morning (9:00AM – 12:00Noon).

     

    Cost Information

     

    Program Cost

    Tuition is $460 - $3,250 for the total program.

    In addition, students in the Computer Training Program should budget $250 for supplies. These funds cover cost of books, SCOAP- PC, equipment use, academic services and non-incidental educational supplies for the program. 

    This program is WIA Approved.  Students who qualify can get full WIA sponsorship for the cost of the program.  Prior to enrollment into the Computers classes, candidates are advised to check with the local Missouri Career Centers, to see if they qualify for assistance with the training costs through the WIA program.

    Payment Arrangements

    An application fee of $50 will reserve your seat. This fee is non-refundable after the Enrollment Cancellation Period, (see Withdrawal/Cancellation policy and Refund Schedule in page 13). Payments will be required at the time of enrollment. However, payment plans for monthly installments will be available. Students would meet the accounts staff for necessary paperwork.
